Gene Locke knows that choices are key to effective transportation throughout Houston. Houstonians should be able to choose between driving on uncongested highways and traveling on efficient mass transit, including buses, commuter rail, and light rail.
Gene Locke believes that for Houston to remain the great city it is, Houstonians must be secure in the knowledge that the City will continue to create new jobs, draw new businesses to Houston, fulfill essential city services, prepare our students to enter the work force and invest in our infrastructure to ensure the safety and security of our residents.
Gene Locke knows Public Safety is a high priority. He will invest in proven law enforcement technology, increase neighborhood policing, improve collaboration and cooperation among law enforcement agencies, and pursue and prepare the next generation of police and fire fighters.
Gene Locke knows businesses and residents need to be confident that the City will deliver the services we all need to remain a vibrant city, with an excellent quality of life. He will make sure that Houston remains a city of opportunity for all Houstonians.
